Smart Warnings, No Missed Weighing! Qigong's Customized Upgrade of the Engineering Vehicle Weighbridge Access Management System

Smart Warnings, No Missed Weighing! Qigong's Customized Upgrade of the Engineering Vehicle Weighbridge Access Management System

ProjectBackground

Most standardized license plate recognition weighbridge systems on the market only achieve basic entry registration and single weighing, lacking closed-loop management of the entire weighing process; about 70% of projects cannot fundamentally resolve deep management loopholes such as vehicles lingering inside the site, missed weighing, leaving without re-weighing and gaps in weighing data.

Zhongda Century Engineering's original LPR weighbridge system had insufficient overall management capability and could only perform simple entry/exit license plate recognition. Issues such as vehicles lingering inside the site, missed weighing and leaving without re-weighing could only be checked manually after the fact. Based on the customer's actual needs, Qigong Group customized and upgraded the full system and supporting hardware for Zhongda Century Engineering, custom-developing the weighbridge system in line with on-site operational routes, adding a two-stage timeout warning and a duty center event console, and upgrading the system from "passive recording" to 24/7 "proactive monitoring."

Project Pain Points

Smart Warnings, No Missed Weighing! Qigong's Customized Upgrade of the Engineering Vehicle Weighbridge Access Management System

Loss of control after vehicles enter: After entering, vehicles deviate from routes and are slow to reach the weighbridge; relying on manual screen watching, abnormalities are detected late and the process cannot be traced.

Gaps in weighing data: After loading and unloading are completed, vehicles leave directly without returning for re-weighing, weighing records are missing, cargo-volume reconciliation is prone to discrepancies, and conventional systems do not automatically alert.

Inefficient abnormal-event management: Timeout vehicles are displayed in a scattered manner and duty personnel easily miss them; tracing abnormal records after the fact requires going through massive logs.

Customized Upgrade Solution

1.Entry timeout warning: After a vehicle is recognized at the entrance, a timer starts automatically; if it fails to reach the weighbridge within the prescribed time, the duty center gives a real-time alarm with a pop-up showing vehicle information, and the timeout threshold is customized according to the plant's routes.

2.Exit re-weighing timeout warning: After a vehicle completes weighbridge weighing and enters the plant for operations, the second-stage timer starts automatically; if it fails to return to the weighbridge for re-weighing within the timeout, the system triggers a warning, blocking the risk of missing weighing data.

3.Duty center unified event ledger: The backend centrally aggregates all warned vehicles, displaying license plates, warning times, event types and handling status, with all abnormalities pending handling on one screen; external speakers can be connected for audible and visual reminders.

Project Implementation Results

Upgraded management mode: Missed weighing and vehicles lingering inside the site shift from manual after-the-fact investigation to real-time proactive system warnings, with abnormalities captured immediately.

Flexible business adaptation: The two-stage warning durations are freely configured in the backend and can be adjusted at any time with the plant's operational routes and production rhythm, free from the limits of fixed standardized functions.

Reduced human oversight: Warning events are centrally displayed at the duty console with audible and visual reminders, reducing the duty personnel's missed or mistaken readings.

Data documented throughout: License plates, warning times and abnormality types are fully archived, facilitating material reconciliation, safety review and audit tracing.

Integrated delivery and implementation: The full software and hardware are uniformly replaced and deployed, with stronger system compatibility and linkage, solving the original system's insufficient underlying capability in one go.

Core Highlights of the Solution

Qigong Group centers on self-developed system software, supports customized functional upgrades based on users' actual needs, and provides on-premise deployment solutions.

Based on the project site, it can provide an integrated software-and-hardware solution, developing warning logic, event dashboards and equipment linkage strategies as needed; on-premise deployment stores all business data locally, meeting enterprises' data security control requirements.

Applicable Scenarios

This custom-developed smart LPR weighbridge warning and management solution is suited to earthwork projects, sand and gravel mines, batching plants, solid waste stations, coal yards, chemical smelting and all other plants/parks with bulk material movement that require vehicle re-weighing, resolving the challenges of missed weighing and loss of control over vehicles inside the site.

Qigong Group has been deeply engaged in the smart entrance access management field for 23 years, covering diverse scenarios such as smart parks, scenic spots, military camps and industrial/mining plants. With integrated self-developed software-and-hardware delivery capability, it supports on-demand custom development and on-premise deployment of system software and hardware, building exclusive access management systems suited to on-site business processes for customers across industries.
